Week 40 - Environment work
Random colour sketches in Ecoline watercolour with gouache details.
This (below) is two pictures that just kind of "grew" together while i painted. Even though I should separate them, it feels like they belong together.
And one line-work in progress (inspired by tekkon kinkreet bg's)

Last week sketches
I have no idea how this came to be, but this ended up being such a gay version of the TS characters I had to post it, wahahaha 8D

Friday 24th
Original idea:
The layout spread out in my sketchbook after a lecture at school (it's bird wings on the right side page, they had to make way for the environment that grew =3):
I tried boosting the values some and additional shadow/light:
And a gradient map to blend the colors:
and some final adjustments:

Thurs. the 23rd
Started on this watercolor, ecoline color thing (it has been chopped since the scanner is an A3 and the paper was bigger than that). Here are different variations, with more or less color.
The first being the original (I find it way to saturated so I worked a little with that: tried boosting the orange trees by desaturating the rest, then adding a gradient map in a brownish shade (see the last picture).
I will have to work more with my perspective and should definately start using more guidelines ruled in. Plus much more thumbnails and planning!
